11.24.2012

1 WEEK OLD

On November 16, 2012  at 5:33 p.m., after a dramatic delivery, the amazing Zoë Raine Snajder entered the world weighing 6 pounds, 15.8 ounces, and measuring 20 inches long.

Zoë was named after several people in her family:
Zoë, meaning 'Life' in Greek is in honor of her Great Grandma Mollie's Greek ancestry.
Raine, which is French for 'Queen,' is in memory of her Great Grandpa, Robert Feldman, and also honors her Grandma Marilynn's Alsace-Lorrainean heritage. Raine is also in memory of Freddy Mercury and her mom's favorite band, Queen.

We are so happy Zoë has joined our family and look forward to life with her. Check back for updates, photos, and news from the Snajder family.

And for those who keep asking, here's how to type her name with the "umlaut," or "dieresis" over the 'e:'
